INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Wipe down your piece with a damp sponge.

2. Trace the image with a pencil onto the tissue paper.

Link to Trace & Transfer Lobster

3. Choose the placement of the design.   Painters tape will nicely hold the tissue paper
in place.

4. Use the sharpie to retrace just the outline the image directly through onto the piece.
(You will be filling in the whole thing with paint that will cover any of the inside
tracing/details)When you remove the transfer be careful to not rip it. You will use the
tissue again

5. It is best to start painting the outer corners and the edge of the design.  Using the
fine tipped brush and the Red Blaze scoop up enough paint so that you can spread
the paint along the outer edges. Pulling the paint in toward the middle.   Use the small
or medium sized brush fill in the center. (A coat of paint should be applied like a thin
frosting.  Your brush strokes should be smoothing the paint along.  Using this
technique you will need to apply 3 coats.  If you are unsure about the thickness of the
coats you applied add a fourth coat.) Let dry.

6. Reposition the image and trace the inside lines directly on top of the painted image.
Or pencil them in.

7. Pour about a quarter sized amount of the black lab onto a pallet.  With a wet fine
point bush thin the paint just a bit. Using a light hand follow the outer edge of the
image as well as the lines you traced on top of the red blaze.

Splattered Rim-
Cut out the image as close to the edge as possible. Tape the image/ tissue directly on
top of the image.  This will protect it from any splatters. Dip the tooth brush into the
remaining black lab. (Check to see if you need to add some water to it as it might have
thickened up some.)   Run your finger over the bristles so that the paint splatters onto
the piece  concentrating on the rim,.  Use the scrap pieces of tissue cover the center of
the piece so that the remainder of the splatter will be on the rim only.  Apply a coat of
the Red Blaze splatter to the rim only.
