INSTRUCTIONS:
BEE MUG:
1. Using the sponge and pencil trace the sponge on the opposite side of the handle, to
show you where the face will go.
2. Cut 6 pieces of tape about 4 inches long. Starting from the round circle place a
piece of tape every other inch, from the rim of the cup to the base, example: tape
stripe,empty stripe, tape stripe
3. paint the "naked" bisque stripes and the inside of the circle smiley face using your
medium brush. DO NOT PAINT AROUND THE FACE WITH YELLOW, that will be black.
4. once the THREE coats of yellow has dried, peel of the tape and paint those stripes
with the black lab with the 1/4 sponge to give it the "fuzzy bee look"
5. also sponge around the face and a bee isn't a bee without his stinger...on the
handle.
6. now give your bee some personality and give him a unique face.
FLOWER SAUCER:
1. using the middle of the plate as the center of the flower, draw petals with a pencil.
2. paint the petals using the medium brush with bouncin berry. The effect used in this
piece is reached by a "two stroke" motion. ( don't forget the three coats!)
3. Lightly brush on black raspberry from the center of the flower about an inch up into
the petals to give it that 2-d effect.
4. sponge the mocha fudge and smiley face together as the center of the flower.
5. paint the back and remaining "naked" bisque with pea soup!
6. TIME FOR THE FINISHING TOUCHES!....outline the petals with a black writer and
throw some lines in the petals as the flower's veins...don't be afraid to be messy with
the writer, it looks groovy!
